7 simple Personal finance tips that will help you boost your finances

Money is pretty tough to work with. Everything is changing and we have to adapt with it. Keeping track of you finances can be super hard and sometimes it feels impossible to do. You might ask yourself, How are my friends so good at financing? What am I doing wrong? You don’t have to do something wrong. Maybe you just have several outgoing sources and you don’t have time to keep track of it. Take some time off to take care of your finances. Even though it will look hard and complicated, you will definitely benefit from it in a long run.

Create a calendar

It is really hard to keep track of your finances and it’s even harder when you have a lot of it on your plate.

Try to create a financial calendar to keep track of your finances. You can either write it all down to the actual calendar with actual dates, when you have to pay back some amount of money or create a financial calendar within the app.

There is lots of apps for it, but you can easily use built-in calendar in your smartphone if you don’t feel like learning the functionability of a new app.

A calendar as a great tool to improve your finances

Check your interest rate

Interest rate is one of the most important factors in finance sector. If you have taken a loan, check your interest rate. Obviously, the one with the highest interest rate is the priority to pay back. It´s different when opening a saving account; the higher interest rate, the better.

Become a budget king

If you have more less a stable income each month, try to calculate all your expenses (fixed costs) such as rent, car,  subscriptionss, groceries and others. Basically, everything you know, you have to pay at the beginning or the end of the month.

This way you will know, how much money you have left, after you pay all your necessary expenses. Then it´s much easier to be aware of how much money you can spend on other things and if you can afford something extra.

Exercise

It may sound silly for some of you, but studies show that exercising helps us in many ways. It helps the productivity, increase your motivation, keeps your brain “awake”, which has an influence for a better functioning of the brain etc.

There are many advantages, but I am not going to bother you with all the details. Important thing for you to know is that it has a great impact on your body and soul.

All in all, if you don´t exercise, try to do that for a few weeks and you should see the results. It doesn’t even have to cost you anything. You can just go running several times a week or do any kind of exercise in general.

Do it together

Find a person with the same problem or interest as you. You would be surprised how efficient it is to share your problems or thoughts with somebody else, especially regarding finances. Try to do it with somebody with the same problem and interests, probably from your close network. You should be more motivated, focused, goal oriented and willing to actually accomplish it. Share your knowledge, give each other feedback and try to solve it together.

Think before doing it

Might sound easy, but we all tend to spend a huge amount of money each year on things we don’t need. Companies are getting better and better with marketing their products and they know exactly how to attract us with a great offer. What do we do? Of course, we are going to buy it, even though we don’t really need it. It´s super easy to spend money and please ourselves by purchasing fancy stuff we don’t need. We all want to feel good and comfortable in our body.

However, this is not really a way how to make it happen. Before purchasing a product or service, let it go through your head. ask yourself; Do I really need it? Do I need it right now? Do I need such an expensive product if I can buy almost the same one for much better price? Try to buy things that you really need right now and are necessary for your living. Don´t spend crazy amounts of money on clothes, electronics and groceries that you are not even going to use.

Check your inventory

I am totally sure that if you tried to fully clean your apartment/house, you would definitely find many things you don’t need or haven’t used in a long time.

Try to gather them all at one place, decide if you really need to keep them or not and then sell it. Easy as it sounds.

You would be surprised how much money you can get in total for the things, you would most likely just throw out in a few years.

Selling your old stuff will definitely help you boost your finances
